[...] Ben would consider going back to Daredevil just as long as Fox would negotiate to tell some of the darker storylines. He would like to see a big screen adaptation of Kevin's graphic novel that included "Mysterio" or maybe even "Born Again". He believes that these story lines might me a bit obscure for 20th Century Fox and may require some negotiations.

[...] "Director Rob Bowman won't have her leaping from rooftops and isn't relying heavily on special effects, opting instead for crazy camera angles and a more character-driven story, with movies like "The Cooler" and "21 Grams" as his reference points.
"We have our share of blowing things up, I've learned a few new weapons and I'm definitely, definitely fighting. It's not like I'm in a period piece, in a corset, or talking Shakespeare," Garner promised. "But it is very much driven by Elektra's darkness and what happens when she comes back to life, and what that second life means: whether it's redemption or whether it's a dark place from which you can't be redeemed. It's very dark and honest." [...]

[19.06.2004] SHH! meldet...
[...] Jason Isaacs has a cameo role in 20th Century Fox's Elektra movie, starring Jennifer Garner in the title role. IGN Filmforce adds that Isaacs will play a character called DeMarco, who has a little run-in with Elektra.
One of the cooler characters will be Tattoo (aka Tengu), who is one of The Hand members. He actually has tattoos of animals that come alive in the film, like a spider on his shoulder that can go ahead and scope out the place. There's also wolves, tigers, etc.
There's also a character called Kinkou who is played by an actor who is skilled in Brazilian martial arts.
Typhoid Mary, played by Natassia Malthe, will be totally different from the comics [...]

[26.04.2004] HollywoodReporter.com meldet...
Goran Visnjic, who starred as the title character in last week's USA Network movie special "Spartacus," is in negotiations to star as the male lead opposite Jennifer Garner in "Elektra" for helmer Rob Bowman. The Regency Enterprises/20th Century Fox film is due to start lensing in early May in Vancouver. The "Daredevil" spinoff finds Garner reprising her role as Elektra Natchios. In this film, she plays a beautiful and deadly assassin who was trained by the Hand, a clan of mystical ninjas. When she turns her back on them, they want her dead. Elektra is assigned to kill Visnjic's character by the Hand over something his grandfather did; however, she ends up falling for him. Terence Stamp rounds out the cast. Producing are Marvel's Avi Arad and Horseshoe Bay partners Mark Steven Johnson and Gary Foster. Visnjic heads to Vancouver after wrapping up duties on "ER." [...]

USA Today reports that Terence Stamp - forever known as the vengeful General Zod in Superman II - will return to the comic book movie genre with Elektra.
The newspaper didn't specify who Stamp is playing but IGN FilmForce has confirmed that he's been offered the role of Elektra's grizzled, elder mentor Stick. Sources advised us, however, that the USA Today report was slightly premature as Stamp's deal is not yet finalized.
According to Marvel, "Elektra later joined the noble order of warriors led by Stick. She honed her fighting skills to the peak of human perfection, but Stick saw that Elektra was filled with pain over her father's death and with hatred for the world she blamed for it."
Terence Stamp's other credits include The Limey, Red Planet, The Haunted Mansion, Wall Street and Star Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
IGN FilmForce can also reveal that Kirstin Prout, a young actress whose TV credits include appearances on Jeremiah and Stargate: SG-1, has been cast in the role of Abby. Character breakdowns posted online claim that Abby is the 13 year-old daughter of Mark Miller, the target Elektra has been hired to assassinate only to fall in love with. [...]

[06.04.2004] About.com sprach mit Jennifer Garner über "Elektra"...
[...] It’s not a prequel. It’s a sequel to her story in Daredevil and I’ve been training for the past couple of months. I trained after the junket last night and got up this morning and will go again tonight and I’m loving it. I love that aspect of it. I don't know if it’s because of dance or but we’ve added in pilates because I need t add the flexibility. I’m just loving that. I’m working with my sai guy because the sais are my swords. [...]

[...] Jennifer Garner says she will have "a female foil" in Elektra, her Daredevil spinoff set to film in May. "I'm getting ready to train to battle Typhoid Mary," she says.
Elektra producer Gary Foster, who with co-producer Avi Arad helped choose the supervillain, says, "Typhoid Mary is a psychotic. By day she's this normal woman, and at night she loses her mind and drives you into this disease, where you literally get typhoid." [...]

[08.03.2004] Moviehole meldet...
According a report on NewsAskew.Com, "Hellboy" director Guillermo del Toro is interested in directing the sequel to "Daredevil".
Ben Affleck is reportedly interested in reprising his role, but only, if the film is a lot darker than first time around.
"This superhero/horror story focuses on the fall from grace of Matt Murdock's secret identity. Like the original story, 90 percent of the film will feature DD without his costume, but rather he will be fighting evil in his civilian clothes", reports the site.
In addition, efavata is reporting that the villain will be "Bushwhacker", a religious assassin who has it out for Mutants.
"Daredevil II : Born Again" is scheduled to open in 2005, say the above sites.

[23.01.2004] Comics Continuum meldet...
Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige told The Continuum that the upcoming new Daredevil DVD [...] will be a director's cut, with many new scenes, and will be rated R. It is being targeted for a spring release.
"I hope the people who loved the first one will love this one even more," Feige said. "And I think who the people who had other opinions will be won over by this new version.
"Moreso than many director's cuts that you'll see, it's really a different experience. Not only are there other subplots and things in it, there are turns in his character, darker turns, and more interesting turns that he takes in this version."
Feige said that writer/director Mark Steven Johnson and producer Avi Arad of Marvel Studios are providing a new audio commentary for the director's cut. "It's very entertaining," he said.
Like Fox's X-Men franchise did with its titles, the new Daredevil DVD might be called Daredevil 1.5, but unlike the X-Men version, there will be no lookahead materials.
An Elektra spin-off movie is being targeted to go before the cameras next year, but a Daredevil sequel might be a few years down the road. Ben Affleck, who starred as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, has been quoted in recent reports as saying he's reluctant to return to the role.
"There are many more stories to be told with old Hornhead and we'd love to tell them someday," Feige said. "Right now, all of our efforts are on Elektra's solo adventure." [...]

[20.01.2004] Comics Continuum meldet...
Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios told The Continuum that 20the Century Fox's Elektra movie is targeted to shoot during Jennifer Garner's hiatus from Alias at the beginning of the summer.
"We've had a number of great writers come in and work on it and we're talking to directors," Feige said of the spin-off film from last year's Daredevil.
Feige talked a little about the type of villains Elektra might be facing.
"She doesn't have the sort of spectacular, over-the-top, costumed, made-up mutated villains," he said. "She has what we believe to be very scary, very sleek, very organized and very deadly adversaries.
"The tone of the film will be fun and adventurous, but the villains always fit their heroes. And Elektra doesn't wear a mask or hide her face. It will be unique villans that I think people will recognize and be very excited to see."
Feige said that, similar to most second films featuring Marvel characters, Elektra's costume will probably be tweaked from the one she wore in Daredevil. [...]

[09.12.2003] SF Wire meldet...
Ben Affleck told SCI FI Wire that he's reluctant to reprise his superhero role in any Daredevil sequel film. "I don't know about Daredevil II," Affleck said in an interview while promoting his upcoming SF movie Paycheck. "That may be too much work for me. I don't have any idea."
Affleck added that he'd consider it if friend, filmmaker and sometime Daredevil comic-book writer Kevin Smith took part. "I suppose that if Kevin Smith wrote it and was going to be involved, I would do it," he said.
Affleck added that he'd be willing to take up the red cowl and billy club again in the proposed Elektra movie spinoff, which would star his Daredevil leading lady Jennifer Garner. "I would do some sort of cameo in Jen's movie - she's going to do Elektra - just because she's cool, and she's my friend. But I'm not banging down the door trying to get Daredevil II made. You'll know when my career is really on the slide when I start resurrecting the franchise."

[17.09.2003] Bei Moviehole gibt es ein Interview mit Joe Pantoliano...
[...] Pantoliano might be appearing in "Elektra", a spin-off of the film "Daredevil", as well as a sequel. "Haven’t heard yet, but they’ve got the option on me. They sort of own on me". [...]

[13.09.2003] Heute erscheint "DareDevil" auf DVD & Video !!!

[18.04.2003] DH meldet...
Variety reports that Fox & New Regency are aiming to begin production on the "Daredevil" spin-off in 2004, with Stu Zicherman and Raven Metzner penning the script after their strong work with a recent script adaptation of Marvel's "Deathlok". The story of the film "picks up her curvaceous assassin as she recovers from the near-death experience in the first film and battles the Hand, the organization of killers that trained her and then turned against her. A central character will be a martial arts trainer named Stick". Once the script is done, a director will be then selected.

[11.04.2003] Comics Continuum meldet...
Mark Steven Johnson, who wrote and directed the Daredevil movie, has signed to direct Ghost Rider for Columbia Pictures, with Nicolas Cage attached to star.
Gary Foster, who produced Daredevil and is producing Ghost Rider with Avi Arad and Crystal Sky's Steven Paul, told The Continuum that Johnson's involvement in Ghost Rider won't impact either the announced Elektra film or Daredevil sequel.
"Mark and I are producing Elektra with Avi for April/May '04," Foster told The Continuum on Wednesday. "Hence, it won't affect it at all.
"DD2 is still in the mix for MSJ after Ghost Rider."

[28.03.2003] The Minnesota Daily sprach mit Kevin Smith, u.a. über "Daredevil 2"...
[...] Smith also said Ben Affleck has tried to convince him to write a "Daredevil" sequel but that he’s not sure he wants the job.
"I love comic books, but I don’t know whether I’d want to work on a superhero movie," Smith said. "There are too many studio executives that have to justify their jobs, so they say things like, ‘What if "Daredevil’s" not blind? Why does he have to be blind?’ " [...]

[24.03.2003] Blickpunkt:Film meldet...

Vorsicht SPOILER !!!
The beautiful killing machine known as Elektra [...] is on a mission to kill Presidential candidate Ken Wind.
She's wanted by S.H.E.I.L.D. operatives after she assassinated South American Presidente Carlos Huevos. She dispatches, in rich, bloody detail, many an agent. One of those unfortunates is agent John Garrett, who she shreds nearly to pieces, only to leave him alive for her own amusement. Garrett is revived with a special electronic and pneumatic body. Elektra uses some sort of bizarre Ninja mind control over him to make him do her bidding.
Meanwhile, S.H.E.I.L.D. is busy rebuilding Perry, Garrett's partner who also was badly mutilated by Elektra. What they don't know is that Perry has a history of violence and rage, and it's up to Elektra and Garrett to stop him before he gets fully rebuilt. But Garrett's betrayal of S.H.I.E.L.D. (due to Elektra's mind control) has agent Chastity and Colonel Nick Fury on his trail.

The hidden clues to the biggest mystery in the blockbuster film DAREDEVIL have been revealed: Elektra lives! With audiences clamoring for more of the female warrior, Twentieth Century Fox and Regency Enterprises today announced that, in addition to a DAREDEVIL sequel, they are moving forward with a new event film based on the Elektra character.
The new ELEKTRA story will be set after the events depicted in DAREDEVIL. Jennifer Garner will reprise the role she brought to life in that film, and script development will begin immediately.
Elektra first appeared in "Daredevil" comics in 1980 with words and art by comics legend Frank Miller. The character is the daughter of powerful and rich Greek business tycoon Nikolas Natchios and the girlfriend of Matt Murdock / Daredevil. Although she possesses no superhuman abilities, Elektra is a consummate practitioner of the martial arts, and wields a pair of three-pronged daggers, or sai.

You'll see rapper Coolio's name in the credits for Daredevil, but you won't see his face in the movie.
According to the film's writer and director, Mark Steven Johnson, it seemed like a cool idea to have a major subplot involving a character named Daunte Jackson in the superhero adventure.
By day, avenger Daredevil is the blind lawyer Matt Murdock. Johnson wanted to show what a good lawyer he is, so he created a storyline in which Murdock (Ben Affleck) and his assistant Franklin Nelson (Jon Favreau) were trying to prove their client Daunte Jackson was innocent of his murder charge.
"They actually go out and do the investigating themselves. It shows a very important side to Matt's character.
"He is as much the champion of the innocent by day as he is by night," explains Johnson.
This subplot is just 20 minutes of film footage that will end up on the DVD version of Daredevil.
"You'll see a very different movie on the DVD. We had to tone down quite a bit of the violence to get our PG rating for the cinema release, and there are important scenes for each of the major characters that had to be trimmed."

[17.02.2003] Bei Moviehole gibt es ein Interview mit Scott Terra... Und Spiegel Online meldet...

Außerdem: sehr schöne Bilder, sehr schöne Aufnahmen von New York.
Hier in Deutschland; hm!

[11.02.2003] DH meldet...
Whilst talking with The Chicago Sun-Times, Marvel Comics head Avi Arad confirmed [...] there's a "Daredevil" sequel waiting to be green-lighted should the first film prove to be a hit, and talks with Jennifer Garner to spin off her character Elektra into her own film franchise seem to be going well: "It's in the script phase, but Jennifer says she's already attached. She hada great experience making 'Daredevil' and is looking forward to returning to the role".

[10.02.2003] Die Offizielle Website bietet mehrere Ausschnitte...

[09.02.2003] Bei AICN gibt es mehrere Kritiken...

[07.02.2003] News Askew meldete kürzlich...
Apparently if DD fares well at the box office, they're already playing with sequel ideas. One of 'em? Turning Kevin's awesome original "Guardian Devil" story arc into the second film. And letting Kev write the script! Empire and Total Film magazines had a few quotes from director Mark Steven Johnson regarding Kevin's involvement in the current flick and the future:
"Born again (which sees DD rematched with Kingpin) would be an obivios choice. The other idea is to do Guardian Devil (Kevin "Clerks" Smith's run for Marvel, in which DD has his faith tested. Smith also cameos in Daredevil). I'd let Kevin write the screenplay, which I think would be a blast." [...]
"I've talked to Kevin Smith about him writing the next script" adds Johnson. (Total Film then jokes it'd probably make a very static film, in which people just slack, discussing Daredevil.) "Hey, I'm gonna direct it man!" cries Johnson.

[06.02.2003] Bei AICN gibt es eine positive Kritik...
[...] So here's the bottom line, coming from someone who was skeptical about Daredevil: if you liked Spider-Man, you will probably love Daredevil. I would say this movie knocked Spidey down a peg. I was shocked, but in a good way. I felt for Matt Murdoch. I wanted him to win. I was at the edge of my seat. Daredevil was a solid, entertaining, well-filmed, well-acted, believable film.
And the ultimate compliment, which proved to me that this was an A+ comic adventure movie? I can't wait for the sequel (or at least the DVD with deleted scenes...)

[05.02.2003] Bei CS! gibt es eine positive Kritik (8/10)...
[...] "Daredevil" rocked! It's dark and gritty and a little different from the comic book I read as a younger man, but holds on to most of the important elements. Lots of violence, a sexual bed scene with Daredevil and Elektra give it the PG-13 rating. Make sure you stay till the end for a bonus scene that will answer a question you will most certainly have. [...]

[04.02.2003] Bei DH gibt es Interviews mit Ben Affleck, Colin Farrell und Jennifer Garner...

[03.02.2003] Bei SHH! gibt es eine Kritik...
[...] All in all there wasn't much about Daredevil I didn't like, the movie can be a little loud at times, but I think that was a creative choice the director was trying to get across, that Daredevil lives in a world without vision and his sense of hearing is so "amped" up that we along with being able to see as he does can hear every nuance of sound as well... I found it very effective. Some of the CGI effects look a little on the CGI side, but the use of the digital stunt doubles is what makes this kind of film possible and what every comic-book-geek has been wanting to see.
And be sure and stay through the end credits, there is an extra little bit of fun for fans. [...]

[02.02.2003] Bei AICN gibt es eine Kritik von Moriarty...
[...] Overall, DAREDEVIL is one of those litmus tests for fandom. We all say we want character-oriented superhero films, movies that manage to bend and break formula and that take the material seriously, and we claim that it’s not about empty spectacle, that we want good stories first and foremost and that we would reward those films. Here’s your chance to put up or shut up. If it’s giant scale destruction and mayhem you want, HULK and X-MEN 2 are both looking like sure things for later in the year. If it’s non-stop action and physics-bending reality, then hold out for the MATRIX.
But if it’s a human hero you want, one we recognize in ourselves, one who bleeds and who hurts and who loves and who dares to face a dark world without fear, then DAREDEVIL delivers, and it promises a different kind of franchise, one I would welcome with open arms. [...]

[01.02.2003] Bei AICN gibt es eine Kritik von Dr. Hfuhruhurr...
[...] This is the best comic book/superhero movie since Burton's original BATMAN (and it's without the flaws of that film). The comparisons will be easy to make: both heroes are relatively normal men driven to become vigilante crimefighters after their parents are murdered. Both are borderline psychos themselves. Both films are dark in tone. Yet Daredevil succeeds where Batman fails. DAREDEVIL'S darkness is real and the movie is all about the man behind the mask. The villains are not allowed to take over the movie asylum. In fact, this is the first superhero movie where you honestly feel what it is like to be the hero. If SUPERMAN made you believe that a man can fly, this one will make you believe that a man can hurt, both physically and in the depths of his soul. [...]

Wizard Magazine talked to "Daredevil" director Mark Steven Johnson, who revealed his plans for a sequel. "I've been thinking about [the sequel]. Because the studio has been asking me about it too," says Johnson. ""Part of me would want to do [famous Daredevil storyline] 'Born Again', where the Kingpin comes back and gets his revenge and just takes Matt Murdock's life apart. But I don't think that would be enough, quite frankly. After Bullseye and Elektra and the Kingpin, you'd have to introduce who's next, who's the new person in the story...I think there is a version of a Mr. Fear that could be really cool for film, that could be really spooky and scary...The idea of the Man Without Fear who meets a man who can release the fear inside you - that's a great idea."

Mark Steven Johnson (director), Avi Arad (producer), Ben Affleck and a few other producers were there to show the footage and give a little talk. Johnson seemed really enthused about the project, his love of the comic pouring out of him. Affleck was a little less enthusiastic, but his love and respect for the books was very evident. [...]
We start off seeing the accident that blinds young Matt Murdock. It's interestingly done, but the first image that got me was the silhouette of the young DD in his hospital bed, gauze over his damaged eyes, a Nun leaning over him, kissing his forehead, cross dangling down being held lightly by the young boy. She sits back up, her cross pulled free from his feeble grasp as his hand reaches out weakly, fingers blindly searching for the icon. The next thing we see is an overhead shot of young Murdock with a cane, tapping along. We see his father in the boxing ring, knocking out his opponent. We see the victorious father hold his beloved, blind son up on his shoulder as the crowd is cheering for him. The young Murdock is wearing his father's robe, red with horns on the top.
Then we see his father get beaten badly. We see the young boy kneeling by his dead father as the camera pulls back, shifts focus, revealing the crumpled red boxing robe on the filthy alley floor. Next thing we get is Daredevil doing a flip, landing on a roof. He takes his mask off. He's a bit beat up, got some scrapes and scratches, but strongly walks toward a little wall on the roof. With the flash of his hand, we see 3 vertical black circles, one on top of the other. We hear a whirling sound, but we're not sure what it is. In a flash, Daredevil shoots out his hand hitting all three black circles. The whirling stops and we see that the black circles were 3 combination locks spinning so fast that all the numbers were a blur. There's a click and the door to the roof entrance to his place opens up.
He walks in, vacant stare on his face, but he walks confidently, avoiding all obstacles and even affectionately patting his father's boxing gloves that hang on the wall as he walks by. He nonchalantly hangs his billy club on a peg on the wall, the fourth or fifth peg in a line, the previous 4 already holding billy clubs, and drops his mask on the middle head of three dummy heads lined up in a row, the other two with masks on them already.
We see a close up of prescription medication. Pain pills. There are 4 or 5 bottles crammed together. He quickly reads the brail on one of them before popping the top and chewing the pills. The next thing is a close up of a mound of salt and a scooper. A hand comes into frame, picks up the scooper, fills it with salt and dumps it into a bath. Affleck climbs into the hot bathwater gingerly, kinda sighs and this weird metal plate slides over him as he lays down in the bath.
Then we see Kevin Smith in his cameo. He looks like a scientist. He says something along the lines of, "Want to see something cool?" Que the heavy rock music and the quick cutting action scenes. We see a bar room fight. Daredevil taking out some assholes, doing some amazing flips and action moves (you've seen the scene in the trailer where he does a flip, then jumps to the wall, kicking off it in mid jump and taking out another bad guy with a powerful kick. We see Daredevil on the ceiling, hiding out above the ceiling fan, letting the blades of the fan deflect the bullets headed his way. There's this great shot of Daredevil fighting the crowd... he runs and does a front flip, but the camera follows him in the flip. So we see Daredevil running across the screen and when he flips, the camera flips with him, keeping him upright, but sending everything around him spinning. Pretty neat.
We also see Collin Farrell as Bullseye, looking really badass in his black leather coat. He's on a motorcycle in the middle of a street making a nasty face at Daredevil before he peels out and pops a wheelie, headed straight at him. Daredevil calmly runs toward the approaching motorcycle until they are just about to meet. Then it cuts away. I think at this point we saw a limo crash with Elektra and her father being thrown about inside. We see a bit of Michael Clark Duncan as The Kingpin... Just a close-up of him smiling. Shortly after that, we see Elektra doing some pretty cool Sai swirling, swiping at Daredevil and looking hot in her black leather number. Sure, it lacks the striking electricity of the red outfit in the comic, but it looked cool nonetheless.
We also see Elektra sparring with Bullseye. She makes a few swipes at him with the Sais. He easily avoids the strikes, knocks her down, but not before he nabs one of her sais. He admires it briefly. We then see him grab Elektra by the throat, hold the sai up, then we cut to about 30 feet away. Daredevil is on the ground, seeing Elektra being held off the ground by the neck, her sai in the hands of Bullseye. Daredevil reaches out, pained look on his face (at least on the part not covered by the mask).
I believe that is all. Pretty cool stuff? The footage was full of shadow and darkness and some pretty badass action. If the rest of the movie is as cool and as detailed as the footage described above, then we are in for a treat come next February. Didn't get to see any of Jon Favreau's stuff, though. His Foggy Nelson is supposed to damn near steal the movie. Can't wait.

[...] "The struggle with the costume is staying faithful to the comic and at the same time not making it look ridiculous," says director Mark Steven Johnson, now shooting the film for 2003 release. "We knew we weren't going to do red tights." The filmmakers went with a sculpted leather bodysuit hybrid, combining a partially form-fitting costume (like Spider-Man) with the molded look of Batman. [16.05.2002] Moviehole sprach mit Scott Terra...
Moviehole caught up with young actor, Scott Terra, who is playing a very important part in Fox's "Daredevil". "I play Matt Murdock, the young Daredevil", explains Terra. "But no I haven't seen Ben in costume yet". Terra also tells us that he wasn't familiar with the background of Daredevil before starting the movie, but was attracted to it for several reasons. "It's a cross between Batman and Superman", he says.
Terra garnered a young artist nomination this year - which he says is probably the result of his TV stint. " I think most know me from Motocrossed because it was played so much on the Disney Channel", he says. It's 'film' though that he would rather be doing.
In addition to next year's Daredevil, Terra can be seen in the upcoming monster movie "Eight Legged Freaks". "I play Mike Parker, the sheriff's son", says Terra of the role. "It was hard. It's hard to look at a tennis ball and scream like it's a giant spider coming to kill me", he laughs. "I'm a fan of these kind of movies though".

[08.04.2002] Bei About.com gibt es ein Interview mit Kingpin-Darsteller Michael Clarke Duncan...
[...] "At the end of the script, Daredevil and Kingpin have this big fight and Kingpin is a big guy but he's very agile and he knows karate and stuff. In my first scene, I have my assistant time me and he brings in these four karate masters. I have to beat them within 15 seconds. I take the first guy and just slam his head to the concrete. It takes 11 seconds [to get all four]. I look at my watch and say, '11 seconds. The first two guys were good, but let's get better at the second two.' [...] I'm going to bring something else totally different to this guy because in the comic book he's white. That's an honor to me, being African-American and to be portraying this guy. I've always wanted to be a kingpin type of guy where I order everybody around. For the first time, I don't have any makeup. I'm in nice suits. I have nice shoes, gold watches and platinum, smoking cigars. I have pretty women around me."

Vorsicht SPOILER !!!
[...] Everything seems to be rushed. I understand the fact that they are dealing with a limited amount of time when trying to present a story in movie format, but adjust your story line accordingly! The Elektra Saga was one of the coolest most compelling storylines in the Daredevil series. Here we are going to see a condensed version of what "kind of" went on with Elektra and Daredevil. And in the process we lose a lot of the drama that made the storyline work. [...]

[18.03.2002] IGN FilmForce weiss, wer die Rolle des Reporters Ben Urich übernimmt: Joe Pantoliano (u.a. "Matrix", "Goonies")...

[...] True, Daredevil is an excellent script, and like all scripts of its quality it leaves you wanting more. It speaks well of Johnson and Helgeland’s work here that Daredevil leaves you wanting much, much, much more - at least fifteen pages thereof. This draft of the script, dated 7/03/01, tops out at 106 pages... rather short, all things considered. Still, Daredevil seems finished, like there is just as much story as is necessary. Nothing seems forced, rushed or tedious. When released early next year, it would seem that we can expect an exciting, well-crafted superhero story, surpassing most every other in its quality, but leave us aching terribly for the (hopefully) inevitable sequel."

[29.01.2002] IGN FilmForce weiss, wer welche Rolle spielt... Jennifer Garner (u.a. "Pearl Harbor") verkörpert Elektra... Michael Clarke Duncan (u.a. "Planet der Affen" und "The Scorpion King") übernimmt die Rolle von "The Kingpin"...

[03.11.1997] Coming Attractions berichtet...
The project has had director Carlo Carlei attached to it for months now. The storyline may feature Elektra (probably depending on whether or not she can get her own project off the ground with Oliver Stone's production company.) There's been no confirmed word as to who is actually writing the screenplay -- Chris Columbus' name turns up more than any other, but comic scribe J.M. DeMatteis has been mentioned as well.
