Am 2. Dezember 2011 erschien "Hangover 2" auf DVD & Blu-ray Disc...

[27.03.2012] Slashfilm meldet...
[...] Director/producer Todd Phillips promises that The Hangover III will be the final installment in the comedy series.
"We’re going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter we have planned," Phillips told THR. "It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions."
Of course, like any final installment, money and demand could change that decision (remember when Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade had two different meanings?) Warner Bros announced last week that a third Hangover film will hit theaters on May 24th 2013. [...]

[26.01.2012] THR berichtet über die Gehaltsverhandlungen zum 3. Teil...
[...] Warner Bros. is going to pay a hefty bar tab to get another Hangover.
Dealmaking on the studio’s third installment in the raunchy comedy franchise is wrapping up after dragging on for months due in part to the salary demands of its three stars. Sources close to the negotiations say Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms are asking for $15 million each (against backend) to reprise their roles, and they now are likely to get it.
That’s a big raise from 2009’s The Hangover, which was made for about $35 million and paid the headliners under $1 million each (Cooper made the most because he had the biggest name recognition at the time). When the R-rated bachelor-party comedy unexpectedly grossed $467 million worldwide, the studio found itself without talent deals for a sequel. Negotiations were heated for The Hangover Part II, released last May, with the three principals each scoring around $5 million, according to a source, plus back-end compensation that raised their haul into the mid-teens (and counting) when the movie grossed $581 million worldwide. [06.12.2011] CS! berichtet über den 3. Teil...
Even before this year's box office hit sequel, The Hangover Part II, opened, director Todd Phillips was announcing that a third Wolf Pack adventure would both happen and be planned as an end to the franchise.
"Obviously we always envisioned it as a trilogy," he said back in May, "The third would be very much a finale and an ending... As far as where it takes place, I'm very open."
Today, it looks like we might have the answer to that location question, straight from one of the series' leads, Bradley Cooper. He appeared tonight on the BBC's The Graham Norton Show and explained the following (via Bleeding Cool):
"I think that we adhered to the formula in the second one, for those who’ve seen it, and the third one, I think, which would close the whole trilogy... I think it'll take place in Los Angeles and maybe not adhere to the structure. It might be different."
Though no dates have officially been announced (and even the title itself is tentative), The Hangover Part III could go into production as early as next year for a 2013 release. Cooper added, "I hope we're gonna start shooting in September. I know that Todd Phillips is working on the script."
In addition to Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are definitely set to return.

[28.10.2011] CS! sprach mit Zach Galifianikis, u.a. über einen möglichen 3. Teil...
[...] "Do I want to do more of 'The Hangover' movies? If we can get the script where we feel that it's really fantastic, I think it's something to consider. It's all about the script. And if Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms are not in it, yeah, I'm into it." [...]

[31.05.2011] CS! berichtet über die US-Kinocharts...
The summer movie season has been making up for a weaker spring with consistently stronger weekends and with the release of two anticipated sequels, this Memorial Day weekend set a new record for the holiday with the Top 10 grossing an estimated $269 million over the four-day weekend. 39% of that amount went to Todd Phillips' The Hangover Part II, reuniting Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms from the hit R-rated comedy that scored $277 million two summers back. After opening with $31.6 million on Thursday, it set a new opening record for an R-rated comedy with $86.5 million over the three-day weekend and an estimated $105.8 million over the four days, utterly destroying the previous R-rated comedy opening held by American Pie 2 with $45.2 million. Grossing $137.4 million in just five days, the sequel has already entered the Top 10 for highest grossing R-rated comedies ever, as well as becoming the second-biggest opening for any R-rated movie ever, following just behind The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 and just ahead of Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ the following year. On top of that, Phillips' comedy became the fourth-biggest Memorial Day weekend opening ever, surpassing Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park: The Lost World, which held the record for biggest weekend gross for many years.
Internationally, The Hangover Part II opened in 40 foreign markets, earning $60.3 million. [...]

[29.05.2011] CS! berichtet über die US-Kinocharts...
Warner Bros. Pictures' The Hangover Part II earned another $30 million on Friday from 3,615 theaters to bring its two-day total to a massive $61.6 million. That's the best ever Friday for a live-action comedy and only slightly down from its $31.6 million Thursday opening. The hit comedy should break the $100 million mark on Sunday, its fourth day of release, something that took the first film ten days to do. The Hangover Part II is expected to bring in over $130 million domestically for the five-day holiday release! [...]
