Nach und nach werden den beiden Fremden Hinweise zugespielt, die ihnen angeblich den Weg in die Freiheit - oder einen elenden Tod - weisen sollen... Es wirken u.a. mit... Leigh Whannell (u.a. September 2004 in die US-Kinos und startete am 3. Februar 2005 in den deutschen Kinos... Am 9. Februar 2006 startete dann das Sequel "SAW II" in den deutschen Kinos... Am 1. Februar 2007 startete mit "SAW III" der 3. Teil in den deutschen Kinos... "SAW IV" kam am 7. Februar 2008 in die deutschen Kinos und "SAW V" am 15. Januar 2009... "SAW VI" kam am 3. Dezember 2009 in die deutschen Kinos... Und der US-Kinostart für "SAW VII" (3D) soll am 22. Oktober 2010 stattfinden... Saw Aktuelles [27.01.2010] Deadline Hollywood meldet... It's a move that ratchets up the rivalry between Paramount and Lionsgate for Halloween 2010 dominance. Saw franchise partners Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate have just exercised a contractual option and installed Saw VI director Kevin Greutert as director of Saw 3D, the seventh volume of the fright series. He was hired just 2 weeks before shooting will begin, which doesn't leave a lot of prep time. But the goal was to block Paramount, which had hired Greutert to direct Paranormal Activity 2. Because both films are now set for release on October 22nd, and the move came after Paramount set that date. Meanwhile Twisted Pictures, which has held an option on the director from back when he helmed Saw VI, bumped previously announced Saw 3D director David Hackl, who directed Saw V and who will be assigned another film quickly, sources tell me. Both directors have been involved in the Saw films from the beginning. The rivalry between the films began last fall, when Paramount's sleeper hit Paranormal Activity bloodied Twisted/Lionsgate's Saw VI at the box office en route to a $150 million worldwide gross on a $15,000 budget. Brash Entertainment, the private equity-backed game publisher co-founded by Legendary Pictures' Thomas Tull, is coming out of stealth mode today with the news it has raised $400 million and will focus exclusively on games developed from movie, TV and music licenses. Company has projects in the works based on movies from five studios and has multigame deals with several of them. It's already working on a dozen movie-based titles, including one based on Lionsgate's "Saw" franchise and another, sources confirmed, based on "300." First games will come out this holiday season. While Brash is remaining tight-lipped about its initial release slate, one title will almost certainly be tied to "Saw 3." Warner Bros. will exclusively distribute all of the new company's games worldwide through its homevid operation, which recently started distributing games in North America for Eidos and Codemasters. Studio is expected to partner with Brash on several games, some of which it may co-finance and co-publish through its Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment vidgame division.
