Michael Madsen’s just done "something nobody’s ever seen me do before".
The Tarantino regular has just shot a role in the forthcoming "Scary Movie 4", reports Latino Review.
"I can’t say who I’m playing because I had to sign a confidentiality clause with Miramax", the "Reservoir Dogs" star says.
Madsen worked on David Zucker’s "My Boss’s Daughter" a couple of years ago, and it was his work on that that got him the gig on "Scary Movie 4". [...]

[...] "I'm spoofing the movie 'The Village,' and I'm playing the blind girl [originally played by BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD]," says Carmen. "One of my favorite parts is when everyone's in the town hall and I come walking in. Of course I'm blind, so I have no idea where I am. I think I'm at home [and start undressing], and within one rip, [my] whole entire dress falls off and I'm left in my corset with the cutest black ruffly panties, garter belt, stockings -- the outfit is ridiculous."
Funnyman CHRIS ELLIOTT also returns for the fun to take on ADRIEN BRODY's troubled 'Village' role. "It's your basic village idiot," explains Chris about his character, "which is, if you've followed my career, pretty much the staple of my characters."
DR. PHIL and SHAQ also teamed up for the opening sequence of 'Scary Movie 4' -- a spoof on the horror thriller 'Saw' -- and ET was first on the set with them to get the word from the good doctor himself!
"It all takes place in this nasty, filthy bathroom [where] Shaq and I are chained up together," explains Dr. Phil, who spoofs his image for the first time onscreen, "and the way out is you've got to cut body parts off to get loose, so he and I are wondering which one of us will wind up doing it ... I think it's good to make fun of yourself." [...]
Spunkrat Carmen Electra is eyeing another dousing of spoof.
Electra has signed on to "Scary Movie 4". Though she played the role of ‘Drew’ in the first film - the Barrymore-esque babe who was slaughtered in the pre-opening credit sequence sources say she’s back for a new role this time.
The Pussycat Doll will join Anna Faris, Regina King, Leslie Nielsen, Molly Shannon, Chris Elliot, Craig Bierko and Joanna Krupa in the WeinsteinCo release.
According to The Anna Faris Experience - your one-stop shop for anything spunky Cindy - and ET Online - TV quack Dr.Phil will cameo in the next "Scary Movie" sequel.
Entertainment Tonight apparently visited the set of the Weinstein Bros release, and got the first word on the film's opening sequence.
Apparently it will be a piss-take on "Saw", with Dr.Phil and Shaq waking up in a deserted, dirty bathroom together.
"It all takes place in this nasty, filthy bathroom [where] Shaq and I are chained up together," explains Dr. Phil, "and the way out is you've got to cut body parts off to get loose, so he and I are wondering which one of us will wind up doing it."
It's the good doc's first movie. "I want people to know I don't take myself too seriously as it might seem when I am into a heavy issue," says Dr. Phil. "I always try to work with humor as much as I can because it diffuses a lot of [people's] defensiveness. I think it's good to make fun of yourself."
Does he 'like scary movies?' "They say you have to have this suspension of disbelief, and I can totally get into a movie and have that," he says. "When I am in it, I totally immerse myself in that movie, and the goofier they are, the goofier I get; the scarier they are, the more chicken I am."
The film stars Anna Faris, Regina King and Leslie Nielsen.
"Scary Movie 4," a Disney co-production reuniting director David Zucker and his creative team from "Scary Movie 3," will open wide from Dimension on April 14 for Easter weekend.
According to a report in The Herald Sun newspaper, Freddie Prinze Jr, Andre 3000 and Shia LaBeouf are being eyed for roles in the next "Scary Movie" piss-take.
Prinze, whose career has gone airless-tyre flat of late, would no doubt be quite equipped to swim in the spoofery pool, having starred in such great 'Mickey' targets as "She's All That", "I Know what you did last Summer", and, well, "Scooby Doo".
In addition to the "Scary Movie 4" gig, Prinze has signed up to star in a new TV series playing a Chicago Chef. John Pasquin directed the "Freddie" pilot, expected to air next Fall.
LaBeouf would be able to bring something to the table too - having appeared in such easy-targets as "Constantine".
Andre Benjamin's (but, yep, the '3000' sounds cooler) acting career recently kicked off with a role in looming '06 Razzie nominee, "Be Cool".
"Scary Movie 4", is set to start filming in July under the direction of David Zucker.
The 'hotter than a pavement on a searing day' Anna Faris is returning to the franchise that made her a hardtop name.
Faris - despite recent whispers that she mightn't have been keen - has signed to star in Dimension's "Scary Movie 4", says Variety, reprising her role as airhead heroine, Cindy Campbell.
David Zucker, director of "Scary Movie 3", is returning to helm the next sequence of spoof.
At one stage, "Scary Movie 4" was going to take the piss out of superhero movies, but it's believed Zucker's now using that idea for a stand-alone movie. [...]
Laut einer Meldung bei Moviehole wird Anne Faris in "SM4" angeblich nicht mehr mitspielen...
[...] "Scary Movie 4" was supposed to have been filmed back to back with the second sequel, but the studio changed their mind at the last minute, opting to see how it went down at the B.O. With it ultimately making registers ring louder than Roseanne Arnold’s undertone at both the multiplex and now, Blockbuster, Dimension have officially agreed to continue the screwball antics, first initiated by the Wayans brothers, with the latest set to film over the Winter.
According to scooper ‘Barnacle’, it’s going to be a much different sequel than even the previous film - notably because it’ll likely be headlined by a new actress. "Anna Faris doesn’t look like coming back. Blame it on scheduling, blame it on the fact that she wants to move on from the character... Cindy’s not pencilled in at the moment".
Apparently the best we can hope for is a cameo appearance from Faris somewhere in the film, probably in the film’s first five minutes, says the scooper. "Faris will probably be filming her role in Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain at the same time as Scary Movie is filming this Fall, so her cameo will depend a lot on whether or not she can break free for one or two days work."
The studio is reportedly hoping to release it next Summer.

Bei DH gibt es neue Infos zu "Scary Movie 4"...
The third "Scary Movie" finally premiered in the UK recently and radio station employee 'Addie' talked with the cast on the red carpet about what they're up to next:
"Anna Faris told me that she's signed to do Scary Movie 4 but "they want this one to concentrate on all the comic book superhero movies like Batman, Superman, X-men and so on, and I think there might be some trouble convincing the people in charge of those characters to let them be used for the movie - especially because they're going to be spoofing them - like having Charlie Sheen playing superman and all that
Apparently some of the cast from Scary Movie 3 are signed for four, including Sheen, Regina King and Leslie Nielsen. Faris said everyone, except her, will be playing new characters. Anna said that David Zucker and Pat Proft are doing the new one, and that it'll be going into production hopefully in the Fall. [...]

The Halloween weekend proved to be a mixed bag at the North American boxoffice, with Dimension's horror-spoof "Scary Movie 3" being treated in the top spot for the second consecutive session as it took in an estimated $21.1 million. "Scary 3" was down 56% from its debut and has collected an estimated $78.6 million in a mere 10 days. It is the first film to hold the top spot for two consecutive weekends since New Line's "Freddy vs. Jason" in August. [...]
Dimension's Scary Movie 3 is about to make box office history. The new comedy from director David Zucker earned an estimated $18.5 million on Friday alone in 3,503 theaters. It's expected to earn around $48 million for the three-day weekend, which would easily beat the $36.5 million October record opening set by Red Dragon in 2002. [...]

Halloween may be a week away, but that's not stopping the studios from unleashing their scary movies ahead of fright night. After New Line Cinema scored big last weekend with its remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," Miramax Films is targeting the same audience this upcoming three-day period with its horror movie spoof "Scary Movie 3." The third installment in this successful franchise is guaranteed to top the boxoffice this frame, with some predicting that the film will top the $30 million mark. Playing off a pushed-to-the-limit PG-13 rating and a franchise that has generated more than $228 million in domestic grosses, Miramax's Dimension Films will be egging on the under-25 crowd with its parody of some recent films that rocked the boxoffice. With a new director on board -- David Zucker of "Airplane!" "Top Secret!" and "The Naked Gun 21D2" fame -- "Scary 3" expands its spoofing targets to Buena Vista's "Signs" and Warner Bros. Pictures' "Matrix" franchise, among others. Starring Anna Faris in her recurring role as Cindy Campbell and featuring Charlie Sheen, Regina Hall and Denise Richards, "Scary 3" will open in more than 3,500 theaters.

Anna Faris' website has just reported that the reshoots Scary Movie 3 is undergoing now are not responsible for the release date change. There have been test screenings for the film in certain US/Canadian cinemas, and there have been complaints about a few of the scenes. These scenes are being reshot. One includes a 'Hulk' spoof, which was apparently too 'lame' and 'revolting' for the end of the film. The film has changed its release date so it will not have to face Jack Blacks' "School of Rock' at the Box Office. The movie is apparently between 88-95 minutes long.
Anna Faris recently told her official website that she has had to go back to Vancouver in order to film re-shoots for Scary Movie 3, which explains the release date change to October 24.
Anna has stated that she is not involved in Scary Movie 4. She loves playing Cindy Campbell, but wants to move on her career regarding acting. There is a possibility that she may return, but it depends on the popularity and release of the movie when released on October 24.
Anna also said that they are definitely shooting the film for a PG-13 rating, which will give the opportunity for more people to see the movie. The crude sexual humor has been cut down majorly, but not completely gone. Pamela Anderson's statement about the film was correct, it will be PG-13.

Entertainment Weekly spoke to Scary Movie 3 director David Zucker who revealed the film's plot (spoilers ahead!)...
The hapless Cindy (Anna Faris) is now working as a TV anchorwoman and is assigned to cover the discovery of a crop circle on Charlie Sheen's farm. ''Charlie is basically the Mel Gibson character from 'Signs,''' says Zucker. Soon, Cindy's best friend Brenda gets killed by a cursed videotape (à la ''The Ring''). As Cindy investigates, she runs into, yes, Morpheus (Eddie Griffin, not Laurence Fishburne), who tells her that she's The One. Eventually, the president (Leslie Nielsen!), his Secret Service agent (Ja Rule), and his top assistant (D.L. Hughley) get involved, as the cast combats an ''Independence Day''-style alien invasion. ''We had to combine the plots of four or five movies,'' says Zucker. ''But it's more or less kind of cohesive.''
Zucker also says that The Matrix Reloaded spoof wasn't added until after they saw the movie in May.
After Zucker and his crew saw ''The Matrix Reloaded'' in May, they were so inspired that they shut down production for two weeks to incorporate an elaborate parody of the Wachowski brothers' epic. ''We got Eddie Griffin, and we restructured and rewrote a lot of scenes,'' says Zucker. ''Scenes that were 'Ring' or 'Signs' parodies were shifted to 'The Matrix.''' Meanwhile, the movie also incorporates smaller-scale potshots at ''The Hulk'' and ''A Beautiful Mind,'' among other targets.

Regina Hall will return to the cast of Dimension Films' "Scary Movie" franchise in "Scary Movie 3," while the Miramax Films genre arm has also picked up a comedy pitch from Hall for her to produce and possibly star in, according to sources. Sources close to the deal were tight-lipped on the high-concept pitch's plot line. Hall is penning the treatment. "Scary 3" stays true to the franchise's roots, continuing in the footsteps of the first two "Scary" films in parodying horror movies, recent blockbusters and pop culture. Comedy vet David Zucker ("Airplane!") is directing "Scary 3," which was penned by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. Hall is repped by Writers & Artists and manager Nancy Sanders. Her credits include the first two "Scary Movie" features as well as "Paid in Full" and "Love & Basketball."

Is this thing still alive? Didn’t the last movie bomb? In this day and age of irony, spoofs are dead. Some "straight" movies are already spoofs. Which is why the first SCARY MOVIE wasn’t a spoof on SCREAM (which was a satire to begin with) but a launching pad to push the envelope with as much taboo imagery as possible (penises, pubic hair, testicles, you name it) and comment on the escalation of such things in the post-Farrelly universe.
With this being made, the saying must be true: bad things never die.

"Scary Movie 3: Episode 1 - Lord of the Brooms," is the story of an orphan who goes on a magical quest around the Earth and beyond to rid the world of evil.
The film will be released during Fall 2002. No casting has been announced.

"This new project will expand our successful 'Scary Movie' franchise to include the world of broomsticks and spaceships."
